What makes a Poke Survivor best Pokemon pick
PokéSurvivor, often searched as Poke Survivor or Pokemon Survivor, is a free fan-made bullet-heaven game where one partner Pokémon fights endless hordes. Since every Pokémon in the game can be your partner, picking the right one is the biggest decision you make. This page collects the Poke Survivor best Pokemon for each goal and turns every pick into a full build: nature, ability, held item and moves.
Three things decide how good a partner is. Its attack multiplier scales every move; since October 18, 2026 each Pokémon has a physical and a special multiplier, and a move uses the one that matches its category. Its HP and defenses decide how much punishment it can take, and its speed decides how well it can kite. Since the Kecleon Shop update of October 21, 2026, every Pokémon also has its own nature and ability, which is why a build matters as much as the Pokémon. The picks above use the same stats and scoring as our Pokemon Survivor tier list, which ranks every Pokémon in the game from S to D.
Poke Survivor best Pokemon overall
These five lead the Balanced score, which weights damage at 50%, bulk at 30% and speed at 20%:
- Eternatus PoisonDragon — special attacker, legendary 5-star from the Galar banner.
- Mewtwo Psychic — special attacker, legendary 5-star from the Kanto banner.
- Slaking Normal — physical attacker, non-legendary 5-star from the Hoenn banner.
- Regigigas Normal — physical attacker, legendary 5-star from the Sinnoh banner.
- Koraidon FightingDragon — physical attacker, legendary 5-star from the Paldea banner.
Eternatus earns the top spot because it has no weak stat. Slaking is the odd one out: it is not a legendary, and its huge base stats translate straight into one of the highest attack multipliers in the game. Its ability is Truant, which here makes every recharge 60% longer but every hit 35% stronger, so it rewards players who pick hard-hitting moves rather than fast ones. 3 of the top five are physical attackers, so check the build card before you spend a Mint: the wrong nature throws away 10% of your damage.
Poke Survivor best Pokemon by playstyle
The Balanced score suits most players, but the strongest partner shifts with how you play:
- Glass cannon (70% damage): Mewtwo, Eternatus, Slaking, Regigigas and Koraidon. Best if you dodge well and want to melt bosses.
- Tank (60% bulk): Eternatus, Slaking, Regigigas, Solgaleo and Lunala. Best for co-op support or for surviving the late waves.
- Kiter (45% speed): Eternatus, Mewtwo, Koraidon, Roaring Moon and Slaking. Best for a hit-and-run style and for grabbing experience and chests quickly.
Best non-legendary and easy-to-get Pokémon
Legendaries are all 5-star, a rarity with only a 1.5% chance per pull. These Poke Survivor best Pokemon picks are far easier to get:
- Non-legendary: Slaking, Roaring Moon, Baxcalibur, Garchomp and Iron Leaves.
- 4-star (6.5% per pull): Great Tusk, Nihilego, Buzzwole, Iron Moth and Iron Thorns.
- 1 to 3 stars: Darmanitan, Passimian, Stonjourner, Sawk and Staraptor. Pokémon up to 3 stars can also join you mid-run when you rescue a lost Pokémon.
- Starters: Scorbunny, Sobble, Treecko, Slowpoke and Grookey. All starters are unevolved, so treat yours as a stepping stone.
Best legendary on each banner
Each region has its own banner and its own 70-pull pity. If you are saving tickets for a legendary, these are the strongest on each one:
| Banner | Best legendary | Tier |
|---|---|---|
| Kanto | Mewtwo | S |
| Johto | Ho-Oh | S |
| Hoenn | Kyogre | S |
| Sinnoh | Regigigas | S |
| Unova | Reshiram | S |
| Kalos | Xerneas | S |
| Alola | Solgaleo | S |
| Galar | Eternatus | S |
| Paldea | Koraidon | S |
Poke Survivor builds: how to build any Pokémon
The build card above follows the same five steps for every Pokémon. Pick any of the Poke Survivor best Pokemon and you get:
- Attack side. Compare the physical and special multipliers. Physical moves use the first, special moves the second, and level-up cards offer moves on your strong side twice as often.
- Nature. A nature raises one stat by 10% and lowers another by 10%. Adamant (+Attack, −Sp. Atk) or Modest (+Sp. Atk, −Attack) boosts the side you use and only lowers the side you ignore. Jolly and Timid trade that bonus for speed. Mints in the Kecleon Shop change it.
- Ability. Each Pokémon rolls one of its abilities; the hidden one appears 1 time in 20, or with a Hidden Ability Capsule. Abilities the game does not give a special effect grant +8% damage with the Pokémon's main type.
- Held item. You carry one item per run, found in chests or dropped by bosses. Damage dealers want Life Orb or Choice Band; fragile partners want Assault Vest, Leftovers or Focus Sash.
- Moves. Stack moves of your stronger category and your own types. Single-type Pokémon deal 20% extra damage with moves of their type, and Swords Dance or Nasty Plot boosts only the matching side.
Pokemon Survivor builds for the top picks
Here is what that looks like for the best Pokemon in Poke Survivor at each level of rarity. Every build below comes from the same rules as the build card, so you can repeat it for any partner you own:
- Eternatus build (special attacker): Modest nature, Pressure as its ability, Life Orb or Quick Claw as its item, and Sludge, Hyper Voice, Toxic with Nasty Plot as the boost move.
- Slaking build (physical attacker): Adamant nature, Truant as its ability, Life Orb or Quick Claw as its item, and Tackle, Quick Attack, Body Slam with Swords Dance as the boost move.
- Great Tusk build (physical attacker): Adamant nature, Protosynthesis as its ability, Life Orb or Quick Claw as its item, and Tackle, Quick Attack, Body Slam with Swords Dance as the boost move.
- Darmanitan build (physical attacker): Adamant nature, Sheer Force or Zen Mode as its ability, Life Orb or Quick Claw as its item, and Tackle, Quick Attack, Body Slam with Swords Dance as the boost move.
- Scorbunny build (physical attacker): Adamant nature, Blaze or Libero as its ability, Life Orb or Assault Vest as its item, and Tackle, Quick Attack, Body Slam with Swords Dance as the boost move.
Every held item in Poke Survivor
These are all 11 held items in the game, with their in-game effect:
- Leftovers: You recover 1.5% of your HP per second.
- Choice Band: +40% damage, but you can't switch moves.
- Quick Claw: -20% cooldown on all your moves.
- Focus Sash: A hit that would knock you out leaves you at 1 HP (every 60 s).
- Shell Bell: You heal from the damage you deal.
- Amulet Coin: +50% PokéCoins at the end of the run.
- Lucky Egg: +30% experience.
- Life Orb: +30% damage, but each attack costs a little HP.
- Choice Scarf: +35% speed.
- Rocky Helmet: Foes that hit you in melee take damage.
- Assault Vest: +20% damage reduction.
At minute 35 of the Arceus Judgment every item breaks, Focus Sash included, so a run that goes that long should not depend on its item alone.
The Poke Survivor meta after the latest updates
The game changes fast, and a few recent updates shape the current meta:
- Plates (October 23, 2026). Arceus holds a random Plate in every run, which sets its type. No move type is always the best against it anymore, so a partner with two attacking types is more flexible.
- Damage ranking. The leaderboard now has a damage board for Arceus next to the survival board, which rewards glass cannons as much as tanks.
- Melee moves deal 20% more damage, reach further and cut the damage you take by 25% while they are your active move.
- Defenses count. Enemies hit you with their stronger side and you block it with Defense or Special Defense, so very fragile Pokémon fall faster than their attack suggests.

Does the Poke Survivor meta change with updates?
Yes. PokéSurvivor is updated almost daily. Since October 23, 2026 Arceus holds a random Plate each run, so no move type is always best in the Judgment. We re-import the game data when stats, abilities or items change.
