What is Pokemon Night Out?
Pokemon Night Out is a live electronic dance music concert series created by The Pokémon Company International to celebrate 30 years of Pokémon. It was announced on April 13, 2026 as part of the “What's Your Favourite?” anniversary campaign, and it is the brand's first move into EDM. Marshmello headlines, with Alison Wonderland as the supporting act, and both artists play custom sets built around Pokémon visuals made exclusively for the show.
Think of it as a club night where the stage screens are full of Pokémon instead of abstract lights. The official description promises an audiovisual journey featuring fan-favourite Pokémon, stage technology designed for the event and surprises along the way. There are only two shows, one in Los Angeles and one in London, each for a single night. Entry is limited to fans aged 16 and up, so it is a very different event from the family-friendly Pokémon Day Out.
People searching for this event usually want one of four things: the dates and tickets, a way to watch from home, the exclusive Pokémon GO content at the venue, or the free avatar jersey from the Twitch Drop. This page covers all four. The countdown and checklist at the top are built for the night itself, so you can tick off every raid, Timed Research encounter and wild spawn as you catch them.
Pokemon Night Out dates, venues and tickets
- Los Angeles: Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Intuit Dome. Tickets went on sale on April 17 through Ticketmaster, and the show and livestream start at 7:30 p.m. PT.
- London: Tuesday, November 10, 2026 at The O2. Tickets are sold through AXS, and Pokémon.com listed seats from £55 before fees in September. The exact show time has not been announced yet.
Tickets are limited and subject to availability. Demand for the Los Angeles show was high, so if you still want to go, buy only from the official sellers above or a reputable resale platform, and be wary of screenshots of tickets sold on social media. Remember that both shows are restricted to fans aged 16 and up.
How to watch the Pokemon Night Out livestream
You do not need a ticket to see the Los Angeles show. The Pokémon Company streams it live from Intuit Dome on the official Pokémon channels on Twitch and YouTube, starting at 7:30 p.m. PT on October 24, 2026 (10:30 p.m. ET). The countdown above converts that start time into your own time zone.
The London date is different: the official announcement says the London show will not feature a livestream. If you are in Europe and want the full concert experience, the November 10 show at The O2 is the only way to see it, while the Los Angeles stream is the one to watch from home.
Pokemon Night Out in Pokémon GO: what you can catch
Both concerts double as Pokémon GO events. The bonuses only work at the venue during the event, so they are not part of a global event and you cannot get them by playing from home. Altogether the venue features 21 different Pokémon and forms, and every one of them can appear as a Shiny.
Raids with a Location Background
Pikachu appears in one-star raids and Gengar in three-star raids. Any Pikachu or Gengar you catch from these raids carries a Los Angeles or London Location Background, depending on which show you attend, which makes them a permanent souvenir of the night. Most Trainers can win a one-star raid alone. Gengar is weak to Ground, Psychic, Ghost, Dark, so bring counters of those types and a friend or two if your team is not strong yet.
Timed Research and the avatar jersey
Opening Pokémon GO at the venue gives you up to two Timed Research opportunities. Completing them can reward an encounter with Toxtricity (Amped Form) and Toxtricity (Low Key Form), the punk Electric and Poison Pokémon whose two forms match the show's high-energy theme. Toxtricity is weak to Ground (double weakness), Psychic. The research also awards an exclusive event baseball jersey for your avatar. The individual tasks and the expiry time had not been published at the time of writing, so finish the research before you leave the venue if you can.
Boosted wild spawns at the venue
These 14 Pokémon appear more often around the venue: Gastly, Voltorb, Alolan Marowak, Hoothoot, Murkrow, Houndour, Electrike, Carvanha, Shinx, Zorua, Joltik, Froakie, Dedenne and Rookidee. The list leans hard into the concert mood. 5 of them are Electric types such as Voltorb, Electrike and Shinx, and 6 are Ghost or Dark types such as Gastly, Alolan Marowak and Murkrow, a lineup that fits a show that starts after dark.
The rarest spawns are Unown P, Unown N and Unown O. Only some Trainers will encounter them, so if one shows up on your map, catch it before anything else.
Lure Modules last one hour
Lure Modules activated during the event last one hour instead of the usual 30 minutes. Golden Lure Modules are excluded. A venue packed with Trainers means PokéStops will be lured constantly, so you rarely need to spend your own, but one Lure at a quiet PokéStop near the entrance can keep spawns coming while you queue.
How to get the Pokemon Night Out Twitch Drop
You can get the avatar jersey without a ticket by watching the Los Angeles stream on Twitch. Here is the process:
- Follow the Pokémon channel on Twitch and link your Pokémon Trainer Central account to Twitch before the stream starts.
- Watch twitch.tv/Pokemon for at least 30 minutes from 7:30 p.m. PT on October 24, 2026. Keep the stream open: minimizing it pauses the drop timer.
- Claim the drop from the pop-up in Twitch chat or from your Twitch Drops inventory.
- In Pokémon Trainer Central (rewards.pokemon.com), open your inventory, find the drop and select Show Code.
- Enter the code on the Pokémon GO Web Store offer redemption page. The Timed Research then appears in the game, and completing it unlocks the jersey.
Each Trainer can claim the Timed Research code only once. If you claim it through the stream and then attend a show, you will not get the jersey research a second time at the venue.
Pokemon Night Out merch
Pokémon Center runs the official merch for the concerts. The range includes shirts and sweatshirts with the event logo, jerseys, a poster, a bucket hat, a tote bag with neon-backlit Pokémon, a clear vinyl bag and pins, including a location-exclusive pin. Some items are sold online at Pokémon Center, while others are only sold at the on-site shop to attendees, in limited quantities that vary by venue.
Tips for Pokémon GO players at Pokemon Night Out
- Charge everything. A full arena drains batteries and slows mobile data. Bring a power bank and turn on Battery Saver or lower your screen brightness.
- Play before the music starts. Once the show begins you will want to watch, not stare at your phone. Do your raids and research while you queue and before the headliner takes the stage.
- Stock up on Raid Passes and Poké Balls. Each Pikachu and Gengar raid is a chance at a Shiny with a Location Background, so a few Premium Battle Passes go a long way.
- Track what you have caught. Use the checklist at the top of this page. Progress is saved in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.
- Plan your counters. Check matchups in our type calculator, or build a balanced main-series team in the team builder.
Pokemon Night Out vs Pokémon Day Out
The 30th anniversary campaign has two kinds of live events. Pokemon Night Out is the 16+ evening concert in Los Angeles and London. Pokémon Day Out is the interactive, kid-friendly daytime event, held in summer 2026 in Bordeaux, New York City, Dresden and Mexico City. If you are planning a trip with younger fans, Day Out was the one aimed at families; Night Out is a loud, late-night show with heavy bass, bright lights and a club crowd.
